Ancient View of the World

Ancient men had the Sun and the moon as clearest visible objects in the sky. The changing shapes of the moon may have perplexed a bit but he must have clearly understood that in it's complete form it is circular in shape. Though some might have believed that giant dragons might be feeding on the moon others observing the regularity of the changing shapes of the moon might have thought of the science behind it. While the former would have thought that the moon is not hot, the later must have been puzzled with light given off without heat. The sun for sure must have always offered less ambiguity as it was always round and would more often give both light and heat. These observations must have surely led him to think that even the earth could be round. The

When looking at the sun and moon, it is hard to imagine that someone fantasizing of walking on it might imagine that one would fall of it. Both the sun and the moon appearing big and small during different periods must have led them to think that both the objects are not as small as they appear. The stars being smaller did not offer any clue of shape and size but may not bothered them much either. They must have been first bothered about the energy from the sun that affected their surviving resources.

To the naked eye the sun and moon did not appear as being hung on a string and so they must have been intelligent enough to understand that even the earth was floating about being hung on nothing. The bible supported their view.
