Joy and the Boy' did to my children what 'My Dear Kuttichathan' did to me in the 80s

Joy and the Boy was engrossing and today's children have the option of demanding to see movies over and over again. But back in the 80's when my father took me for 'My Dear Kuttichathan' the first 3D movie of Indian Cinema. It was once in a life time experience for kids of middle-class family of those days. The impression left on the mind was so captivating that, it was only recently that I searched, if the movie was available on 'Youtube'. And to the utter dismay the print looked so bad that it was sure to create no impression on the mind of the young ones today. But is that really the case, to prove that you would need to put your assumptions to test.


Kids today spend much of their time seeing repeat telecast of their cartoon shows along with advertisements that they really are not much bothered about. As they realize that not all Yummy advertisements sell things that are really Yummy, they start complaining about, senseless ads that break their TV shows that are really a 100th repeat of a show they have watched probably so many times. When all they had to nag and complain and talk was about the senseless broadcasting, it was time to disconnect them with the obvious loathsome leisure they were provided.


When TV stopped, they had to be connected to the world around them and so it made sense to download and show them shows or parts of it that were more connected to stories of people from real life or of performances or art. It was amazing to see how they appreciated the new content that were made available to them. Simple songs of alien languages that praised God captivated their minds and made them beings that enjoyed the pleasant things in life. They copied and are becoming artist themselves. They are narrating their own stories and want to narrate them in ways that can captivate minds.


If you have complaining kids would you try to share with them simpler things that life offers. If you feel they are naggy all the time. Check what they are engaged with and try and provide them with alternates that help them connect with people of this earth. You might soon forget that they ever nagged you.

Atheism Concepts Change with Geographic Location

1. The educated adopt atheism, due to blind faith in scientific declaration that end up as stupidity due to ignorance of many unconsidered parameters. The Con and the Conch shell

The recent video on WhatsApp of the peculiar behavior of a conch shell, that finds it way to the surface when buried under a sack of rice grains may make some believe that the conch in itself has magical powers. The idea may not be farfetched as it's used as device to please gods in some of the eastern cultures in religious rituals. Some minds may immediately think that the shape of the conch itself may make the rice grains flow underneath the shell and since the flow must happen from the vicinity of the shell itself this would happen along it's surface and ultimately from it's top thus pushing the shell upward.
