Boundaries that must be Demolished

A night before Amaziah could not sleep easy as he had done all these years. It was holiday and it was partly a rainy day too. He was being cranky about not being allowed to play on the computer and he demanded for new games as well. I obliged, and downloaded a few new games for him to explore. It was unusual of me to do the same, but he must also get a chance to explore what’s available on the internet. I prefer to keep my children offline most of the time but thought to relax the rules for a day. The result he spent about four hours playing in the digital world. And when it was time for bed he cried “I am seeing computer and the games if I close my eye” he screamed. For a moment it seemed like a big problem. There are sermons that are told about how the devil finds his way to little minds in ways that even adults may not understand if ignorant of that being. However, being a little kid, we could distract him and help him sleep. Friends do take time to consider children who do not get to speak to their parents about their distress after spending long hours in the digital world day in and day out. Hope you get the clue and would help your kids live in the alternate real world as you might have spent your younger days. Welcome them back to the real world, let them not grow up as birds caged in their homes or perhaps their rooms with only the computer to interact with.
