Seven Things the World Must Start Doing Urgently

  • 1.       Say no to freebies. Something free with something is introducing a lot of additional packaging plastic, besides bringing garbage to your homes. Most of these freebies end up in waste that is burnt by individuals in places where waste management is left to individuals. In effect you are buying waste plastic to burn and inhale. In many a cases seemingly valuable freebies are just cheap products offered to sell cheap products. All of it wasting your money. Let’s engage in buying good products earth.

  • 2.       Stop buying producing and buying small quantities of machine oil, shampoo, face wash, toilet cleaners unless it is for travel purposes. Smaller quantities require more packaging that eventually lead to higher cost for products. All these stuff have greater shelf life smaller quantities do not make sense, even children seem to waste things that are easy for them to handle.

  • 3.       Magazine CD must stop supplying Linux distributions and the likes. A lot of these go underutilized and is contributing to a lot of e-waste, if you may call them that.

  • 4.       Power banks are a waste of investment for most people. Carefully planning your day and charging your mobile devices is more than what you need with the current longevity provided by today’s batteries. Excessive dependence on devices adds more frustration than fun to our daily lives. If you really run out of power think it’s time to give time for yourselves. The aging power banks are only adding to more e-waste.

  • 5.       Mobile technologies are changing at a fast pace, each new release is offering significant technological advance over the next. Many are crazy about it, and they buy. What they have indulged in is spending good hard earned cash, made their life more difficult to manage with necessities, become unhappy about the way they handle their life needs and ultimately use the phone for less of things that they did with their previous phone. Give priority to things that you possess today, give it maximum value, use it and plan for a time period to discard things and wait for things even better than what is on offer today before you make your next purchase. Waiting and buying things give you more pleasure and utility of products you use than when you just purchase and do not pursue for the real use of your purchase.

  • 6.       Start writing things happening in your life, publish it on Kindle. You are not only helping the world to understand more about human lives, you are also earning by your experiences. It could turn out to be a lifelong income.

  • 7.       In today’s world it’s hard to explain to people how God helps. Just believe that God helps and however bad situation you are in, just let him know that you are unable to handle the situation and are waiting for his action. Just wait and watch, things are solved so preferably and so easily. It’s just amazing and it happens in your daily life. We have a God close to us and not a distant one. In everything you do you will find him aiding you if you just believe that he’s there and will take care of things.

The Con and the Conch shell

The recent video on WhatsApp of the peculiar behavior of a conch shell, that finds it way to the surface when buried under a sack of rice grains may make some believe that the conch in itself has magical powers. The idea may not be farfetched as it's used as device to please gods in some of the eastern cultures in religious rituals.
